I have decided to get back into being a Pure Romance consultant. Why? I loved the extra money I made before. It was all extra income.  I remember my first show.  I, at the time pregnant and working a full-time job, wanted to find a way to work at home and take care of my boys.  My wonderful sister-in-law, Courtney, was a Pure Romance consultant herself and when I found out I thought maybe this will work for me. So when I signed up, Courtney gave me my first lead.  It was a bachelorette party!  So fun!  The ladies were very nice and there were a lot of them.  I must admit, I was a little nervous but Courtney gave them the heads up that I was a newbie.  The party went well, and the ladies ALL bought products.  My show did well, I think about $350 in sales. Starting out, I had a 35% buying discount, so my profits were about $122.50. Sure, I did have to keep back some for taxes and had business expenses but in all I kept about $75.  Not bad for only about 3 hours of work, that included travel.  I was proud, I made $25 an hour!

I slowly got out of the business because I was having a baby and was working full-time; I just didn't have the energy or knowledge to start my own business.  For some reason the business wasn't working for me the way I had planned. Well, after a few years of trying to start other businesses, I had gained the knowledge but none of them were my "thing".  I tried insurance sales, MLMs, and just looking on the internet for other ways seeing mostly scams.  Well, after all I had learned through trial and error, I found out why my business didn't work for me-  I wasn't working the business.  After being contacted by Ruthie, another gal with Pure Romance, I remembered how easy and fun it was.  Besides, I got to choose when I worked.

When starting out, you have to start out with a business kit.  I have decided to start out with the gold kit.  Sure it seems a little pricy at $799, but I'll have everything I need for my first show which is in the making.  I actually "stumbled" upon it while trying to invite people to my Grand Re-opening party (which I am so excited about!).  I sent out an invite via Facebook and it seems that Trisha was wanting to schedule a party herself.  Well with my Grand Re-opening that Ruthie is helping me with, I get to put 35% of my sales towards the starter kit.  In getting the gold kit, it starts me out with the lifetime 50% buying discount.  With a buying discount of 50%, my very first show from a few years ago would have looked more like this: $175 in profits with $50 saved for taxes and business.  That would have meant $125 for my pockets in 3 hours.  About $41-$42 an hour? I can definately live with that!

My Grand Re-opening is scheduled for Saturday February 19th at 2 p.m.  I am sure it will be such the success and I will update everyone with how it went.  Until then keep looking forward!
